Yuvi the artist combines traditional techniques with digital technology. His characters and their settings are formed from acrylic paint, paper cuttings, layers of old newspaper clippings, sketches, silk screen prints, various glues, inks, spray paints, stencil, sand, glass fragments and more. He often uses his bare hands which means he has an intense physical relationship with each piece he creates; In some of Yuvi’s paintings, he takes another layer of canvas and tears and scrapes and this creates a dimension with additional depth that he paints within. The finished composition is intensely tactile and the viewer is invited to feel the work with his own hands.
